    Description

    A growing company in Brooklyn is looking for an intelligent, energetic, and motivated individual to join their Payroll team. The right candidate must be bi-lingual (English/Spanish), must come with a payroll background and have experience as well as working with union employees. The Payroll Coordinator must be comfortable working in both a team environment and independently. Responsibilities: - Manage and process payroll for employees using Excelfore software - Ensure accurate and timely entry of payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and bonuses - Prepare and distribute paychecks to employees - Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies - Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions - Analyze payroll reports and provide insights to management - Assist with the preparation of financial statements by providing payroll-related information - Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the payroll system - Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information - Assist employees with payroll questions in addition to troubleshooting solutions to gain access to their profile Qualifications:  - Previous experience in payroll management or related field - Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices - Proficiency in using Excelforce or similar payroll software - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations - Ability to analyze and interpret complex payroll data - Knowledge of account reconciliation processes - Familiarity with general ledger accounting procedures - Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity Experience:
    • At least 2 years in payroll (Required)
    • At least 2 years using an HR/Payroll software
    • Knowledge of how unions and prevailing wages work
    • 401k reporting and processing
